is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais  Practitioner® (GCFP), trained with Anat Baniel, Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist,
Core in training
Masgutova Method for Neuro Sensory Motor Reflex Integration (MNRI), and  certified in Early Intervention (0-3 year olds).

She evaluates the client’s ability to function in everyday activities which are appropriate for age and skill level. The goal is to restore, reinforce and enhance performance of skills and roles which are essential to productive living, mastery of self and the environment.

Joyce has worked in medical, educational, industrial, and home settings with clients exhibiting a wide range of physical, emotional, learning, and behavioral difficulties, including infants and children experiencing developmental delays or coordination deficits,  and adults experiencing chronic muscle pain, dementia, poor balance, flexibility and coordination, or difficulty managing stress and tension.  Joyce Ann teaches Feldenkrais Awareness through Movement® classes and provides individual sessions using Building Better Balance.

Building Better Balance enhances self confidence and self-perception. This has a dramatic effect on the individual’s capacity for problem-solving, communication and learning.

Building Better Balance is a unique combination of the assessment and teaching principles of Occupational Therapy, theFeldenkrais Method®,  Vestibular Integration, and Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI)®. The goal is to improve the client’s functional abilities by modifying and refining existing movement patterns. This is accomplished by increasing self-awareness and mobility, improving balance, rhythm and timing, strengthening multi-tasking skills, and enhancing visual-motor and sensory-motor integration skills.  It is helpful for all ages including children with developmental delays, individuals with neurological difficulties, those recovering from injuries, those individuals who have been suffering from chronic pain and would like to get back into a healthy lifestyle, as well as those who want to refine their skills in the arts.
